Tessa's Blessing

Tessa was blessed on Nov 1. Grandma Joyce, Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Mary were able to attend from my side of the family. Mike's parents also were able to make it! Grandma Joyce was a huge help with getting things ready. She came in the day before and unfortunately had to go the morning after. Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Mary arrivd in Marble Falls on Friday, we had fun playing in San Antonio together on Saturday. Grandpa gave her a very sweet, special blessing(THANK YOU!)which she cried all the way through. The bishop's wife (Timi) says this means she'll have a great singing voice. I hope she's right because my genes sure won't do the trick! Here are a few pictures from afterword.

Catching up!

I've been terrible about keeping up with my blog. Not much has happened other than baby news. Tessa tried coming at 33 weeks, they stopped labor at the hospital. At 36 weeks she tried coming again. The on call doctor tried to stop labor again, but she kept coming, so he called my doctor to come in and deliver her. Then she got cold feet and we quit progressing. Here we are at 39 weeks, still having contractions, but nothing too terrible. I'm almost dilated to a 4. If Tessa doesn't decide to come by Wed, Aug 5, they are going to induce labor. My blood pressure hasn't been too high, but my doctor has been watching it carefully. Here is a picture of me today, one week shy of her due date.

RC Car

Mike has been building an RC car to race and it is really coming along. He's got it running now and it's a lot of fun! Here's a picture of it.

My belly has also been coming along. Here we are at almost 5 months. Time is really flying!

Expecting

I went to Subway today. While I was there another customer asked me if I was expecting a little one. How exciting! It doesn't look like just fat anymore, my belly looks like a baby belly! I was very excited haha.

Sonogram news!

The doctor is 90% sure that we are having a girl!!! She stayed pretty curled up the whole time, so he will be checking again on our next appointment, just to make sure. When he first put the machine up to my belly, she was looking right at us! She looked like a little skeleton. We're thinking she will be named Tessa Lynne Sierra. When I get to a scanner, I'll post pictures from the sonogram!

4 months already!

Yesterday marked 4 months along for Baby Sierra. We have an appointment on March 23 to find out gender. Any bets? Michael and I are voting for a boy, but healthy is great with us. I also get the feeling he'll be late, maybe Mom's brainwashing? Haha, who knows.

Noody Boody

Here are some cute pictures of Noodles from his puppy days. He will be one year old on Tuesday! Our little man is growing up. He is growing out of his chewing phase, thank heavens, and has started digging everywhere. A few nights ago I heard clanging... I found Noodles trying to bury his bone- under our closet door. He's the cutest little weeny dog I've ever seen. No matter what he's doing, if you look at him, he instantly rolls over and waits for his belly rub. His favorite games are fetch, and "Rip the stuffing out of any toy I can find." We're looking for a little playmate to give him for his birthday since we both work. He loves his little blanky and hates it getting washed. It's so fun watching him when I pull it out of the dryer. He runs from our laundry room, to his kennel (where I always put it after cleaning) and back to the laundry over and over till I finally get it put down. Then he drags it everywhere until he falls asleep in it. What a sweety!

Today was my first day back in school. I am super excited and so far (haha) not procrastinating. If you wouldn't mind wishing me luck and keeping me in your prayers now and then, it would be so appreciated! The schedule is my associate in 1 year, my bach in 2! Yeeha!

Monopoly night

So Heidi informed me that I'm just updating and my posts don't actually have to be interesting. We had monopoly night last night (another couple came over) and I totally kicked butt!!! We went to dinner at Pizza Hut with our friends, Krystal and Karlton. Turns out Karlton is very not good at Monopoly and refuses to go out gracefully. Anyway, next time we will take pictures. Noodles had fun with his new friends too.
